About Us

The Brown Book Agency was started in 2007 by Kat Davis, thanks to a few amazing clients who chose to partner with her. Since then, we've grown into a full-fledged artist development and touring development company. Our motto is simple: we beckon artists' dreams to existence. We service artists of all kinds; musicians, writers, photographers, videographers, etc. We are a small, home-grown business and we let our work speak for itself. The name of the company comes from a concept that is simple as well: we all have little brown books that we write our "to-do" lists in and if it gets written down, it gets done. We love what we do and we love the folks who we serve and believe in them wholeheartedly.

	Kat Davis Team Leader Kat Davis is originally from Virginia Beach, VA and is the daughter of the late James D. Davis, US SEAL TEAM II and Fran Davis, who currently resides in Florence, AL. Kat has a younger sister and a dog named Molly Pigg who gets her name from her constant snorting. Kat has worked in various aspects of the music business for the past 15+ years including on-air radio, radio promotion, music retail, grass-roots marketing, online and relationship marketing, artist development and management and has been running The Brown Book Agency since early 2007 from her office in Nashville, TN. Kat is the author of The Daily Verse, a free, online daily devotional and self-published the first volume of The Daily Verse in late 2010. She's an avid fan of the US Navy Blue Angels and aspires to fly with plane #7 one day.
	Addie Chandler Office Manager Addie Chandler, Office Manager, graduated The University of North Alabama in 2004 with a degree in Communications/Public Relations. She has specialized in customer service/customer relations for a variety of businesses. Included in her duties of Office Manager, she also oversees Kat's sanity as well as the processing and shipping of artist orders placed online and general inquiries.
	Douglas Hutchings Director, Touring Development Originally from upstate NY, Douglas Q. Hutchings knew from a young age that he was called to work in music ministry. A 2011 graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN, Douglas has been working with the Brown Book Agency, as Director of Touring Development since the Fall of 2009. Douglas looks forward to helping you plan your next event!
	Donna Contestabile Chief Financial Officer Donna Contestabile currently lives in the Atlanta area. She has worked as the CFO for The Brown Book Agency for the last two years. Donna worked as a financial analyst for EMI CMG for 10+ years. She is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a BS in Business. She also has an MBA with a focus in Music Business from Belmont University. Along with staying busy keeping things in motion with her business, Donna spends her free time with her chocolate lab, Mocha.
	Sara Moist Sara is our newest team member. More info on her coming soon!
	Molly Pigg Mascot Miss Pigg is Kat's beagle. She has quite a personality and if you call our office, you may hear her pipe up in the background. She has her own Twitter account, and a very special dialect of the english language, interpreted by her "Meh Meh" - if you want to know more, just ask.
